The one useful thing Facebook does is remind about stuff from the past. This is a five-year look over the shoulder this time.
Scouts has been a big part of the household since...it seems like forever. And I'm OK with that. This was from the first year both boys were in Cub Scouts at the same time. Logan was doing his thing in Webelos and Landon had been itching to do it the whole time and we finally got to 1st grade and Tigers. It was also my first year as Cubmaster on the first go around and helping with both dens, so we all had a lot of stuff being thrown at us!
They had a great Pinewood Derby that year with Landon taking 2nd place in his den with the Packermobile, and Logan taking 1st in his den and 1st in the overall competition with his Flaming Cobra. All the effort ahead of the day, the planning, cutting, sanding, painting, polishing, alignment, and speed tweaks really seemed stressful at the time. Looking back I am so glad we did it all!
