Slow week

OK people! I've received several comments on the lack of recent updates. Haven't you been reading about how tired we are and how we're dealing with an attention-hogging egomaniac? Oh, OK, enough whining. No pictures, but there is some news to report.

I guess the biggest kiddo-news this week is the belly button is now assuming a somewhat normal appearance. Yes, the oh-so ugly shrivelly thing finally fell off. Nancy was by far the most traumatized by the discovery. Now the outtie is receding into what we hope to be an innie.

Logan finally attended his first social event. Oddly enough, it was a baby shower. Yeah, the kid was a big hit. Thankfully quiet but alert, he soaked the evening in and made quite a splash. We hope we didn't steal any of the spotlight, but we wanted to be there for Missy and Byron. He's a true charmer, even conning quite a few of the guys into taking a turn at toting him around.

Once he had dipped a toe into the pool of society, he kept going. His first mass was presided over by the bishop. A special mass and dinner for marriage ministry volunteers gave him his first taste of the Church. He was better than we expected. He didn't get antsy until after communion and that was only because he needed a quick snack (if he only knew those thin wafers don't have much to 'em, he wouldn't have gotten jealous). After he ate, we did. And again, he was the hit of the room.

Th-th-th-th-that's all folks!
